Check In is from 2pm each day

All Hostel bookings include: 

  • Free bedding & all linen. 

  • Free breakfast (8.00 - 10am each day)

  • Free WiFi

  • 10% discount on all food and drink.

  • Use of our luggage storage facilities before and after check out.

Check In/Check Out.

Breakfast is served from 8am - 10am each day. The bar is open to the public at anytime after that. You're welcome to join us and drop off your luggage at anytime - there's no charge! (see below for details).

 

All guests rooms will be ready for check in after 2pm each day.

 

If you arrive during breakfast hours, just give a knock (loud!) or you can contact us via the number on the hostel door. All bookings include: Free WiFi,  free continental breakfast, all bedding and towels.

We do require that some form of valid photo identification is presented upon check in. These include: valid Passports, National Identification Cards (ID), or Driving Licenses.

Luggage Drop Off & Storage.

All guests are welcome to use our luggage storage facilities 24 hours  before and after check out dates.

 

We can also provide safe storage for any valuable items throughout your stay - simply ask a member of staff at the bar and we'll provide you a receipt for any items.

Payment.

All payments are made in pounds sterling (£GBP).

While we love taking Euros (€) on holiday unfortunately they're not legal tender in the UK so we can't accept them for payments here at the hostel, and you won't be able to use them around most of the city.

 

We accept all major credit and debit cards with the exception of American Express/Amex

Payment for hostel guests is requested upon arrival/check-in. If guests need to transfer payment, exchange cash etc. payment can be arranged before departure.

 

Our nearest money exchange/Bureu de Change is at our local post office located approximately 200 metres away on Westminster Bridge Road.

Booking Changes & Cancellations.

All changes and amendments to bookings must be made 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival date.

Please note that if you cancel your reservation, any deposits made to us are non-refundable. (Read our Terms & Conditions.) For bookings made via Booking.com please note we are unable to assist with changes directly, you can update details using the log-in information provided on making the reservation.

Guests under the age of 18.

We cannot accept bookings made by those under the age of 18.

Guests under the age of 18 may book only in a privately reserved room and be accompanied by a parent or legally responsible guardian who is over the age of 25. If you have any questions, or if you will be bringing a child under the age of 18 to the hostel, please email us in advance at hostel@thehorseandstables.co.uk.

Smoking.

By law smoking prohibited in any public premise in the UK.

Laundry.

We do not operate on-site laundry facilities, however there are a couple of options nearby.

Our Neighbours at Kennington Laundry & Dry Cleaner offer a drop off/pick up service and will provide any hostel guests a discount.You can also go old school and use the coin operated facilities at Lambeth Laundrette 

Kitchen Facilities.

All hostel guests are welcome to use the communal kitchen facilities located at The Walrus (200metres, along Westminster bridge road). There are no onsite cooking facilities located at the H&S. All guests receive 10% on food and drinks from our bar and kitchen.
